I got tired of the runaround. So I built the resource I wished existed when I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my own HVAC system.
It started with a broken AC and a lot of frustration.
A few years back, my AC went out in the middle of an Austin summer. I called around, got a few quotes, and quickly realized that every company had a different story, a different price, and a very clear interest in selling me the most expensive option.
I spent hours trying to figure out what was actually wrong, what it should cost, and who I could trust. The information was out there, but it was buried in company blogs that existed for one reason: to get me to call them.
So I decided to build something different. A site with no contractor behind it, no commission on the line, and no reason to steer you wrong. Just real information, real Austin pricing, and honest guidance.

Every guide, calculator, and pricing breakdown on this site is written for homeowners, not contractors. I have no financial stake in what you decide.
No pressure, ever
You can use every tool on this site, see what homeowners are paying, and read every guide without ever giving me your contact info. I only ask if you want me to.
Personal introductions when you're ready
If you decide you want to connect with a contractor, I make a personal introduction to one of my trusted Austin partners. I check back to make sure they treated you right.
I only work with companies that share my values.
After I launched, a few Austin HVAC companies reached out. They said they loved the approach and that they stood by the same values of transparency and upfront pricing.
So I started something simple: if you want to connect with a contractor, I make a personal introduction. Not a lead form. Not a referral network. A real text from me, introducing you to someone I trust.
And after the job, I follow up to make sure they treated you right. If they didn't, they're off the list.
What I believe
These are the principles I built this site on. They haven't changed since day one.
Transparency over conversion
I'd rather you make a great decision than make a quick one. Showing you real pricing before you talk to anyone is the whole point.
Education over persuasion
The more you understand about HVAC, the better decisions you make. I write guides to inform, not to funnel you toward a sale.
Independence is the product
I have no financial relationship with any manufacturer, no ad deals with contractors, and no incentive to recommend one brand over another.
Austin-specific, always
National HVAC advice often doesn't apply here. Austin's climate, utility rates, and permit requirements are different. I write for Austin homeowners.
